Summer Creative Story Starter #18

One of the most challenging parts of creative writing is getting a new piece started. Once kids get started, the story begins to flow.

In this story: Lindy stared down into the hole. It was a small, round hole in the middle of the yard.
“What if there’s snakes down there?” Karen said.
“I think it’s just a rabbit hole,” Lindy said, leaning down to take a closer look.
Suddenly, Lindy slipped down into the hole.

The printable has different variations and based on the grade-appropriate horizontal ruling. Kids practice reading in manuscript or cursive and can choose a handwriting style.
