Decoding The Sight Word AFTER

Orthographic mapping involves the formation of letter-sound connections. It extracts the word’s spelling and stores it in long-term memory as a sight word.

Page 1.
Name the word. Say the word AFTER. Ask the child to repeat the word AFTER.
Name the individual phonemes. Point out that the word AFTER has four phonemes.
