Decoding The Sight Word CAME

Orthographic mapping involves the formation of letter-sound connections. It extracts the word’s spelling and stores it in long-term memory as a sight word.

Page 1.
Name the word. Say the word CAME. Ask the child to repeat the word CAME.
Name the individual phonemes. Point out that the word CAME has three phonemes.
