Summer Creative Story Starter #2

One of the most challenging parts of creative writing is getting a new piece started. Once kids get started, the story begins to flow.

In this story: Scott threw the beach ball to Robbie, who jumped up and tried to catch it. The ball was too high and it sailed over the fence into the neighbour’s yard. Suddenly, the ball came flying back over the fence and landed in the pool. “How did that happen?” Robbie wondered.

The printable has different variations and based on the grade-appropriate horizontal ruling. Kids practice reading in manuscript or cursive and can choose a handwriting style.
