Summer Creative Story Starter #14

One of the most challenging parts of creative writing is getting a new piece started. Once kids get started, the story begins to flow.

In this story: Mom was showing Jeff and Mia how to make a boat out of newspaper. She knelt down and placed the boat in the stream. It floated smoothly on the water.
“Let’s get in!” Mom smiled.
Jeff and Mia looked at each. Could they fit inside the boat?

The printable has different variations and based on the grade-appropriate horizontal ruling. Kids practice reading in manuscript or cursive and can choose a handwriting style.
