Decoding The Sight Word OUT

Orthographic mapping involves the formation of letter-sound connections. It extracts the word’s spelling and stores it in long-term memory as a sight word.

Page 1.
Name the word. Say the word OUT. Ask the child to repeat the word OUT.
Name the individual phonemes. Point out that the word OUT has two phonemes.
