How to use this worksheet:
Step 1. Ask the child to look at the picture and say the word CAT.
Step 2. Ask the child to say the medial vowel sound in the word CAT and color it red. Then, ask the child to say the rime -at and color the ending sound /t/ in blue. Repeat the word and ask the child to say the initial sound in the word (onset) /k/ and color it in blue. Ask the child to say the word as a whole – CAT.
Step 3. Ask the child to write the word CAT and color the picture (optional).
