How to use UT word family pocket cards:
Print and cut out cards following the dotted line.
Put the card with the word CUT up so each child can see it. Say the word aloud. Ask children to replace the first sound in the word CUT with /h/ (HUT). Put the word HUT up so each child can see it. Repeat all words.
Children fluent in CVC words (hut, nut, cut, gut, shut, rut) can practice more complex words (strut, donut).
