How to use AB word family pocket cards:
Print and cut out cards following the dotted line.
Put the card with the word CAB up so each child can see it. Say the word aloud. Ask children to replace the first sound in the word CAB with /d/ (DAB). Put the word DAB up so each child can see it. Repeat all words.
Children fluent in CVC words (dab, lab, cab, gab, tab) can practice more complex words (grab, crab, stab).
